JJ Racaza One day pistol course
In this one day course you will learn the micro details of what it takes to pull a trigger fast while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Here is a quick breakdown of what we cover in class.
1. trigger control: learning the techniques of pulling the trigger faster than you ever have and achieve the the same if not better accuracy/precision.
2. visual patience
Prerequisites: Although it says LEVEL 1, this is not for beginners with minimal gun experience. The student must be very comfortable manipulating the gun in a safe manner and fully understand the 180 degree rule.
THIS IS A SHOOTING Course. You will learn every aspect of your shooting. Most comments he gets and receives from students: “this is exactly what I needed to breakthrough my plateau”, “I wish I had this class 10 years ago.”…
Proctor Carbine Process
This course is designed to help shooters achieve a high level of performance in dynamic shooting situations (Combat/Defensive or Competition) with carbines at distances of 5-50 yards.
The concepts, techniques and or tactics presented are the result of over 15 years of shooting as a Profession and Passion. I served over 20 years in the military with the last 15 years in US Army Special Forces. During that time, I served as the Primary Instructor for Combat Marksmanship, CQB Instructor, Breaching Instructor, Lead Sniper Instructor and NCOIC of Sniper Program. I have also been shooting competitively since 2007 with both Carbines and Pistols and have been a USPSA Grandmaster for 10 years. The course material focuses on what it takes to win in any Dynamic Shooting Situation; Combat/Defensive/Tactical/Competition
Topics covered but not limited to:
- Safe and dynamic gun handling skills/techniques/mechanics
- Performance Marksmanship ( how to shoot faster and accurately)
- Dynamic and efficient body mechanics including movement in structures
- Equipment and Gear set up for high performance and reliability
- Red Dots or Scopes on Carbines
- Adaptive Shooting Exercises
Robert Vogel: World Class Pistol Skill
In this course the student will be given the insight into what it takes to develop truly World Class shooting skills. Starting out with the fundamentals and then delving into a heavy dose of technique that goes well beyond the basics, the student will learn the dynamics involved in driving a pistol to the highest level. This course is designed around the ultimate and equal balance of accuracy and speed that is applicable just as much to LE/Military training as it is to competition. Aside from the techniques and skills taught this course also has aspects that require the student to truly “think” while operating on a course of fire. A balance between competitive shooting and tactical applications will be maintained. That being said, performing under pressure is paramount. Outside of actual real life situations competition is one of the few ways pressure can truly be induced. If you carry or use a handgun in any way, shape or form you will benefit from this course.
JJ Racaza is a highly accomplished trainer, world-class competition shooter, and former Federal Agent. His achievements in competitive shooting are impressive. JJ is a 3-time world speed shooting champion and he has broken and held multiple world speed shooting records. As a 3-time US Gold Team Member for the World Shooting Championships, JJ led the US Team in 2011 and 2014 to a Gold Medal. In 2011 he was ranked #2 in the world in the open category, in 2014 he was #2 in the production class and in 2017 he was ranked #2 in the open category. JJ is a Triple Grand Master in the USPSA and he was also a high-ranking competitor on the History Channel’s Top Shot television program. JJ’s secret to success was his drive to learn and master both the fundamentals and movement. Not having the ability to shoot as much as his competitors, he needed to find other ways to remain competitive by identifying aspects of his shooting that he could improve without needing a range to do so. Through 18 years of trial and error and constant work and development, JJ is now known throughout the industry for his movement capabilities. These concepts that JJ has spent his shooting career developing, he shares with his students in these classes.
JJ’s instructor and professional credentials are equally impressive. He is a former Federal Law Enforcement Officer with the Department of Homeland Security. During his government service, among other aspects of his job, he served as a Lead Firearms Instructor, Field Training Officer, and law enforcement academy instructor. JJ is certified from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) as an instructor in firearms, non-lethal training, and defensive tactics.
“I have served over 20 years in the military and the last 16 of those in the US Army Special Forces. In 2004 I attended SFAUC- Special Forces Advanced Urban Combat Course. I knew then that being a better shooter would be a life long passion. In between deployments and other duties at Group I was and assistant instructor for Combat Marksmanship, CQB, Breaching and the Sniper program. I later became the NCOIC for the Sniper program and Primary instructor for Combat Marksmanship. During that time I had the privilege to serve with and learn from some great guys.
In May 2007 I started competitive shooting and found out what I didn’t know about shooting. I started shooting a match almost every weekend and when I failed at something I would work on it during the week so I could see an improvement the next weekend. I joined a range and trained almost everyday sometimes 2 times a day. In January of 2009 I achieved the rank of Grand Master in USPSA Limited division. I was the 4th ranked Limited GM in the world at that time, but still made some mental mistakes in matches. I was shooting at my peak in the summer of 2009 and started gearing up for another deployment. In 2012 I started my training company full time. Most of what I have learned about shooting has come to me since then. Something happened and I took a much more analytical approach to training and shooting instead of the classic just go do it 10,000 times. Looking back to 2009 when I was at my peak as a shooter I didn’t understand what was happening or really how to show other people how to do it. I still don’t know everything about shooting and I don’t think anybody knows everything about anything. I believe in having an explorative mind to continue to look for more information to make us better shooters. My current training programs take an easy but in-depth, cerebral approach to becoming a better shooter.
Thanks for reading this and I hope it provides you with some insight into why I do the things I do.”
